Privacy Policy

Privacy at FuelMap

FuelMap is designed to work without user accounts. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it helps keep fuel availability signal useful.

1. Information we collect

FuelMap may collect an anonymous installation identifier, device platform, app version, language preferences, and location data when you choose to enable location. If you send a station report, we may store the report content, timestamp, distance to the station, and reported accuracy.

2. How we use information

We use this information to show nearby stations, improve fuel availability signal, prevent abuse, apply trust rules, and operate the service safely. Location data is used to determine proximity to stations and to decide whether reporting should be enabled.

3. No account requirement

FuelMap does not require a consumer login for the current version of the product. The service relies on anonymous installation identity and proximity-aware contribution instead.

4. Sharing and service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, mapping, analytics, crash reporting, and infrastructure operations. These providers may process limited technical information on our behalf so the product can function.

5. Data retention

We retain data for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate FuelMap, improve trust and safety, investigate abuse, and meet legal obligations. Some records may be retained longer in aggregated or operational form.

6. Your choices

You can choose whether to grant location access. If you do not grant permission, some proximity-aware features may be limited or unavailable.
